About

Heavy Bevel is my company. I’m Adam Edwards, a London based Design Director / Typographer / Illustrator / Graphic Designer / Art Director with over 25 years experience in branding, editorial and advertising design.

I began in traditional design agencies until segueing into advertising. Having worked in both creative areas I feel I have a good balance and appreciation of the nuances and advantages to how they both work, where my branding experience enables me to offer and produce effective campaigns (and on numerous occasions, brands) for advertising clients while also enhancing and reinforcing their brand worlds through multiple streams and media. 

The challenge of the brief excites and motivates me most - creating something bespoke and unique in such a saturated and abundant space whilst navigating the financial and time restrictions. I feel strongly about putting substance before style (process-wise); in creating tangible, relevant and scaleable brand/campaign worlds built on a sustainable creative idea. 

I strongly believe in collaboration with peers and clients, emphasising  clear communication and open mindedness to create the most effective, unique and impactful results. An understanding of the reasoning and motivation behind a specific idea is key to letting it thrive.
